BFA in Computer Animation

Successful Computer Animation careers begin with DigitalMedia Arts College.  Our ComputerAnimation students choose a thesis that will be part of their final design portfolio. These portfolios showcase students’ creative perspectives, while capturing their finest work in a package that’s easy to market to potential employers.  Skills students learn include but are not limited to the following:

·         Modeling, lighting and texturing
·         Animation
·         Technical artist
·         Story development
Education is essential as the industry expands to include more complex technologies and animation implementation techniques.  Students can expect to work through a rigorous course schedule that prepares them to enter careers directly after graduation.  Bachelor’s degree programs are the most available training options for students interested in attending computer animation schools and colleges.
Our bachelor's degree program trains students by incorporating technical and artistic courses.  The industry is broken down into a variety of indispensable skills that help students during and after the animation process.  Course topics such as drawing, storyboarding, modeling and animation principles give students the knowledge needed to generate a computer animation piece.  Students learn to use different aspects of the industry like modeling, texturing and lighting to create special effects, animations, and more.
DMAC’s Computer Animation students become more than just designers—they become digital storytellers. In just three years, students earn a BFA while mastering the core fundamentals of visual storytelling, classical art, and advanced computer-generated techniques.
